Mutton biryani, chicken chaap, kebaabs & korma,
Kachori-aloo, malai kofta, dal bati churma,
Pies, cakes, puddings & pasteries,
Golgappe, Aloo chat, chat papris,
Burgers, pizzas, pastas & noodles,
Allure our hearts more than any.

Alive just for you,
The most cherishable component of our life (food).
You are a companion, our love,
A stress remover, a mood changer.
An only thing,always revolves around our thoughts,
Even the accent of some words reminds us of you.

You acts as a mender after a long heavy & even bad days,
Through munching some junk.
The thing which completes us,
Makes us capable of living.
An element responsible for our maximum wealth drain-out,
& at last quality taste aroma & quantity matters the most.

We travel for you,
Get dreams about wet cheese & butter.
An official food recommended of friends,
& have all favs eateries on our speed dial.
Try almost anything as long as its food,
& end up judging people on their food preferences.

You are only the common thing,
Present constantly in all my childhood photos.
Some with oranges, some with grapes,
Some chewing guavas & some with leg pieces.
Till then to now nothing much changed,
Still plans constantly, 'what will be the next?'.

We are your true devotees,
Either have no time for relationship.
Or with someone who is a foodies as well.
Though we all have certain rules which may differ,
No sharing, never skipping meals, no talks on nutritious foods.
Disliking one who clicks pictures just after the servings.
& hate people who are fussy eaters.

You are the best part of the day lived,
& miss the dishes tasted a long period before.
Feels cooking is an art,
& inspite of not able to cook,
Always have opinions about everything we eat.
If seen or smelt something yummy,
We immediately fell for it & suffers extreme hunger.

You are the necessity of life,
Without whom one can't imagine of life.
Most of our friendships revolve around you,
& even in romantic fantasies, food plays a major part.
An admiration, a pleasure, a culture & a promise,
To never ditch you ever in life.
