The Poor Little Girl

The poor little soul named 'Nishi',
Just arrived my home two weeks before.
Covering a huge distance,
From Delhi to Kolkata.
Leaving parents family&home,
Designated as a helping hand of my aunt.
.
Arrived with my maternal grandmother,
As her&the poor soul's village is same.
She came here to stay for2year or more,
&more than helping came to learn all household works.
The above statement is the letter of an aunt,
But the truth in originality is obscure.
.
She is just 8years old,
With a lot of enthusiasm&joy.
A complete gipsy soul, wandering here&there,
Naughty&childish,
Gets distracted after every few minutes.
Those innocent beautiful eyes,
Seems badly missing home.
But controlling oneself,
Trying to adjust in new environment,
Which is now seeming better&attractive to her.
.
I sometimes gets angry of,
What she does&how she behaves.
Sometimes disturbing terribly my cat,
&at times disrespecting& back-answering.
But usually gets pitty off.
Pitty of hardships performing in the age of'just play'.
Pitty of the huge distance from mother in that little age,
Which I would have never imagined.
Pitty of the background she comes from.
Pitty of those starved&scarcity-ic look,
To those eatery,common to us,
But very uncommon to her.
.
The complete naughty soul,
Constitute all possible characteristic of a kid.
Desire to go out&explore every lane.
Desire of watching cartoons for 24 hrs.
Desire of having all sorts of junk snacks,
&so called 'chatpatta' things.
&never desire to study.
Making fuss while learning ABCD.
.
The first day I saw her,
My anger was in its peak.
Thinking of complaining to police,
In the charge of child-labour.
But sometimes in your life,
Relations comes a step ahead than any other emotions.
Though a try of showing love to her,
Is going well around.
But the act of discriminations is not that something is hidden.
.
Her most frequent innocent smile,
Showing her at least10teeth of front section,
Leaving the gap of2missing ones.
Sometimes continuing with giggle,
Which makes the environment a bliss.
A toy for every hand,
&a most popular name around.
Listening100times a day,
For work varying from cutting vegetables &washing utensil,
To lifting up a glass of water.
The only thing which comes in my mind,
Is the selfishness of ours.
The selfishness of such people,
From whom I never ever expected this.
Inspite of making her work rigorously,
We could have invested in her better future.
Inspite of Using her service & getting benefits in different ways,
We could have helped to pursue a better environment.
But still, we are humans,
The most selfish creature in the universe,
How could we would have thought of.
Shame! Shame!
