MOOD- SWING

The feeling or emotion of extreme sadness after a break-up or immense fight, the feeling of anger or excitement because of any life-event is not a true mood-swing. People talk that they are emotional & have mood-swings but the truth is, their emotions are mere perfectly normal reactions to life events. They are not 'swings' but just 'stronger emotions'. True mood swing occurs when one go happy or sad in just a moment, without anything apparently triggering it. Usually, swings trends almost always negative.
It is an extreme or rapid change in mood & plays a positive role in promoting problem-solving attitude & produce flexible planning but in disruptive case, it can cause dipolar disorder(a manic depression that causes periods of depression & periods of abnormally elevated mood). The reason for mood swings are:
▪mental health or mental fatigue due to extreme stress, a significant change in life or fear.
▪Hormonal changes- Usually during menopause in girls, pregnancy & in adolescence when body faces puberty.
▪substance use- usage of drugs & alcohol in large quantity.
▪Health problems- conditions affecting lungs, cardiovascular system, thyroid, immune disorder etc.
▪change in diet, sleeping habit disorder or high dosage of medication.
It can be cured with the simple changes in lifestyle. Having a scheduled life, regular exercise, sufficient sleep, healthy diet, relaxation(yoga), expressing oneself, talk it out & avoiding stress can act as its medication. Though suggesting an act of not stressing up is easy but implementing it is difficult in the growing world of competition & simultaneously stress level too is what one's statement will be but reaching to the problem's root & solving it will surely release & subsidize stress. Promoting truly funny shows & stop multi-tasking will also act as a helping hand in its treatment.
Though these treatments are for initial stages but for better results consultants from the psychologist is an important part and can be more effective.
